Victor Cervantes's December debut album 2000 is briskly approaching, and as it does the Chicago artist is ramping up the frequencies of sad emotions his music can tap into. This time it's packaged as a lonely single entitled Virgo that at times sounds like it comes with an R&B bow.

Virgo is out to stimulate your underused tear ducts. Looped chords dampen the spirit of the song. His muffled bass and shot-glass percussion mask, cover then drown the sorrows coming from Victor's libidinous falsetto. Victor's vocals/background vocals piece these gentle, R&B-like harmonies together to congeal one repetitious melody that is down on itself separately from his lyrics of insufficiently being able to love, be it lack of opportunity or ability.

Virgo hits like a Cervantes catalogue anthem. Everything in this song loops or repeats and the cycle is a pretty listen. Making for a guarantee of continuous self-imposed plays.
